Take an
unprecedented look at your favorite food... The
Chile Pepper
Using
photography, x-rays, CT scans, and other unusual
imaging methods, we'll take you deep inside the
inner workings of the pepper pod.
Combining a profession (radiography), a passion
(anything capsicum), and a bit of imagination, it
was a natural progression... Who hasn't wondered how
things are put together, what happens inside that
pod? We've all cut open a pepper, whether to cut out
the "hot bits" or break up the fire into manageable
portions. You've seen the seeds, the placenta, and
(if you've looked very carefully) maybe even the
different layers of the fleshy parts (exocarp,
mesocarp, and endocarp).
But
what you can't see is how the nutrients from the
growing plant fed the pod as it got larger and
ripened. Or how the stem gradually becomes part of
the pod itself.
Now You Can!
(And in an artistic
way too!)
Display your true Chilehead
nature and bring your favorite food into your living
room, kitchen, or even bedroom (a room that was most
likely off-limits to your capsaicin adventures in
the past) with posters and prints from CHILESCAPES!
Show your inner geekiness in
a visually pleasing way and most of all, have fun!
